Petit Folks values
When designing the game we tried to think about every detail to provide the best experience from the kids perspective.
We wanted the game to be sustainable, ethical and “slow”. To be so, we have set a series of standards that every piece should meet:
- Sustainability: using locally sourced wood from fast growing plantations.
- Quality: long lasting. Enduring game to pass from generation to generation.
- Security: safety first. Our products have been certified by third parties under the European standards.
- Diverse and inclusive: within our characters and stories we avoid traditional gender roles and we portray characters with different gender realities, different abilities...
- Songs have been selected carefully to ensure they are respectful to all people’s realities and also with any living being.
Following these standards and conscious that, sometimes, traditional songs carry with them certain values that are not aligned with our brand, we created a decalogue to follow when selecting every song.
All songs in Petit Folks are traditional ones, passed down through generations and widely recognized and used at home and in schools. We aim to capture the essence of each song, considering the age group and categories we've established. While we strive to be representative of a language or territory, compromises are necessary. We select the most generic and well-known versions, ensuring inclusivity and avoiding songs that judge, incite violence, have religious or political connotations, enforce gender stereotypes, or impose actions on individuals. In some cases, slight adaptations have been made to align with these principles.
