What will remain (even if it seems small now)

What will remain (even if it seems small now)

There will be a day when your home no longer sounds the way it does now.
There won’t be songs playing in the background,
or toys scattered on the floor,
or that voice asking you for “one more”.

And it’s not a sad idea.
It’s just… that everything changes.

But there is something that doesn’t change as much as we think.

Because when we look back,
we don’t remember everything.
We don’t remember every game,
or every song,
or every day.

We remember something else.
We remember how we felt.

If there was calm.
If there was presence.
If there was someone sitting down to play, even for a little while.

And this has made me think about something important.

Sometimes we believe that to create memories
we need to do special things.
Plans. Activities. “Perfect” moments.

But most of the time,
what really stays with us
happens in everyday life.

In a song repeated a thousand times.
In an improvised dance in the living room.
In that moment when, even though you’re tired, you sit down next to them.

It’s not exactly what you do.
It’s that you were there.

And that… stays.

At Petit Folks we often talk about songs, games and materials.
But in reality, what’s behind all of that is this:

creating small shared moments
that, quietly,
build something much bigger.

Because in the end,
they won’t remember everything you did.
But they will remember
how it felt to be with you
.
