The magic of speaking the same language (without saying a word)

The other day, I found myself watching a beautiful scene at home. There were little ones of very different ages gathered together, and each one was doing their own thing, with their own rhythms and their own way of expressing themselves.
But as soon as a catchy melody started playing, something changed within seconds.
The oldest one started doing the gestures enthusiastically, the youngest joined in, trying to imitate the sounds, and the adults ended up humming the chorus almost without realizing it.
I love seeing how music has that superpower. It doesn’t matter how old you are, whether you talk more or less, or what stage of development you’re at: when a song starts playing, the differences disappear and it brings us all to the same level.
The most beautiful thing is that you don’t need to understand every word to enjoy it. The rhythm, the melody and the emotion capture us first. And, almost without realizing it, while we laugh or make gestures, the brain is storing the intonation, the syllables and those complete phrases that later stay with us forever.
Music brings us together, connects us and teaches us all. Those who think they already know everything and those who are still discovering the world. With no pressure, no rush, and enjoying the same moment together.
