Not in English! Or, How to Introduce English at Home

Do your kids also tell you, "Not in English!" when you try to speak to them in English or read them a story in English?

If they're not used to speaking English in their environment, it's normal. Children's songs are the easiest way to introduce English at home. When we sing in English, they don't even notice what language you're singing in. They just focus on the fun part of singing, dancing, or playing together.

It's true that, at first, they will sing by repetition (kids have an impressive memory!). But gradually, they will start recognizing some of the words used in the songs and, moreover, will learn to pronounce them with a perfect accent. I remember when my daughter, at just over 2 years old, would sing entire songs as if she were a native speaker (maybe she didn't know what she was saying, but her accent was perfect!).

Discover our boxes with wooden cards featuring illustrations of traditional children's songs in English. There are two themes available: Animal World and Play and Move. Perfect for learning English from a young age!
