Do you know what it means to educate in equity (not "equality")? Equity in education goes beyond offering everyone the same: it’s about adapting resources and approaches to respect the timing, interests, and individual needs of each child. Every child is unique and has their own strengths and learning rhythms.
How can music help in this regard? Music is a universal language that allows each child to express themselves, explore, and learn at their own pace. Through songs and musical activities, we can work on important aspects like self-esteem, creativity, and empathy. Music invites every child to participate from their own place, without comparisons, and to connect with their own emotions and those of others.
In a musical environment, children can feel free to explore, participate, and learn to be themselves, fostering a more equitable education. Moreover, music promotes active listening and respect for each person’s space, helping to create an environment where everyone can grow and develop according to their needs.
Petit Folks aims to be a supportive resource, both at home and in the classroom, to accompany this learning process, respecting the rhythm and needs of every child, through inclusive play and an equitable approach.

🎶 By the way, next week is Father's Day. If you have a dad at home who loves music (or just wants to have fun with his little one), this can be a good time to give him something that can't be bought: quality time together. Singing, dancing or playing to music is not only fun, but it also strengthens the father-child bond and leaves memories that last forever.
